Our National Priorities — Actual, and in the Mainstream Media

OK, compare these two events, one of them covered in mainstream media, the other not.

This is a recording of a conversation between Rep. Steny Hoyer, House Minority Whip, the second most powerful Democrat in the House after Nancy Pelosi.  You will hear Hoyer (unaware that he is being recorded) telling a progressive candidate for Colorado’s 6th District, Levi Tillemann, that the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee already decided a long time ago to put all their money and influence behind the more business friendly, moderate Jason Crow, and that they are basically asking Tillemann to withdraw from the election before the June 26 primary.  This is the same thing that was done by the Democratic National Committee to Bernie Sanders in his campaign against Hillary Clinton during the 2016 campaign for the Democratic presidential candidacy against Trump.

There are several stunning things related to this, in addition to the fact that a small obscure power group represented by Hoyer is deciding who will and who will not run for election, preempting the people’s expression of their will in choosing their own representatives.

More stunning to me is 1) Nancy Pelosi later stating publicly that she sees nothing inappropriate in this, and 2) Hoyer is the No. 2 Democrat in the House, and he says he didn’t even participate in the decision to block Tillemann’s candidacy.  No. 2 in the House, and he doesn’t even make the power group, whoever they are.

So we have the total absence of this matter in mainstream media, and an absolute media blizzard on the profound events taking place in — the NFL DRAFT.
